Having visited a number of wedding dress shops and tried on numerous dresses I finally decided to check out Shika Designs in Hataitai and talk with the dressmaker.

On my first meeting with Shika I showed her a few photos and a sketch I had done for the type of dress I thought would suit me. Shika instantly made me feel comfortable about discussing my options for a wedding dress.

She is the most warm, genuine and welcoming individual. She oozes passion for her profession and I found her to be exceptional in every way. Shika really listened to my ideas and took onboard what my likes and dislikes. She had the most awesome way of understanding my personality and from that made my dress top suit my body shape and character.

Shika designed and made the dress from scratch from a sketch I had done. She advised me every step of the way – where to get material, where to get it dry-cleaned, how to care for it while in overseas transit etc.

My wedding dress is awesome. I felt fantastic in it (and I am a sporty person who rarely wears dresses). The workmanship completed on the dress is wonderful. Shika impressed me very much.

I have recommended her to numerous people and would continue to do so.
